On February 20, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 70 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Of the 70 new cases, four are domestic and 66 are imported (24 of them tested positive after landing). The CECC announced no deaths today.
  Regarding the new domestic cases, they are two men and two women, aged between 20 and 49 years.
  Regarding the 66 new imported cases, 41 are male and 24 are female while the gender of the other one case is being investigated. They are between under five and 79 years old. Of the cases, 12 arrived from Japan, nine from the US, seven from Vietnam, four from the Philippines, two each from Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and Malaysia, and one each from Thailand, Bangladesh, Nepal, Australia, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Korea, and Germany; the areas the remaining 20 cases arrived from are being investigated. They all arrived between January 31 and February 19, 2022.
  The CECC reported that a total of 6,152,976 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 6,132,517. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 20,007 cases. Of the 20,007 confirmed cases, 4,572 are imported; 15,381 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 3 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has an unknown source of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated, and a cumulative total of 134 cases have been removed as confirmed cases. There have been a cumulative total of 852 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 852 deaths, 839 are from domestic cases and the other 13 are from imported cases.
