Aboriginal Wood Sculpture Class

We aim to present the unique aboriginal object in this local area. At the same time, we have to execute the policy of continuing aboriginal arts and culture. We expect to offer skill training. The inmates here can learn what lies behind the aboriginal wood sculptures from the aspect of their own culture. So we open ‘Aboriginal Wood Sculpture Class’

Expected achievement:
The inmate students will have to take a 100-hours skill training course. They will understand the importance of continuing aboriginal arts and culture. They will carry on the responsibility. Through learning the skills of wood sculpture and knowing its significance in the traditional antiquities, they will probably play a role to stimulate more people to care about aboriginal antiquities. After leaving prison, they might have a chance to establish their own businesses. They would have a better job opportunity and possible career. They would also impose great influence on aborigines to be concerned about their cultural heritage.
